Purchased in summer 2019, the farm is made up of 42 total acres. The front 16 acres is in crop rotation, usually corn and soybeans. There is a back, rolling field across the creek with about 8 acres that is currently being used as a hay field. Behind the field is about 11 acres of woods.
The barn was originally built in 1978 but completely redone by February 2020. There are four 10x12 stalls with gates that allow horses to look outside when the weather, or their rehabilitation, does not allow them to be turned out. Amish built Dutch doors allow the bottom half or the whole door to be closed to keep out the wind and cold. The other side of the barn has a tack room, wash stall and two 10x15 stalls. At the back of the wash stall is a door which allows direct access to bulk shavings and the hay room.
There are currently three pastures for turnout. The first, adjacent to the barn, is just under 1 acre. It has direct access to the barn with an overhang. The second field is approximately 1 acre and has many large trees for shade. Pasture number three shares a fenceline with pasture number two and also has a lot of shade. Pasture number three is currently being expanded and once completed will be approximately 1.75 acres. A fourth pasture has been seeded and will be just at 2 acres.
